Terms of use
Effective date: October 2026
These terms apply to the Slide Clicker Android app ("the app") provided by Matchau Ltd ("we", "us"). By installing or using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
Using the app
Slide Clicker turns your phone into a Bluetooth keyboard so you can control presentations on a device you pair with it. You may use the app for personal and professional presentations. Only connect it to devices you own or have permission to use.
The app sends keyboard commands only. How those commands behave depends on the host device, its operating system and the presentation app in use, which we do not control. Keep the presentation window in focus and check that the controls work before you present.
Availability and compatibility
The app needs an Android phone that supports the Bluetooth HID Device profile and a host that accepts Bluetooth keyboards. Some phones, hosts and presentation apps are not compatible. We may update, change or stop offering the app or any feature at any time.
No warranty
The app is provided free of charge, "as is" and "as available". Bluetooth connections can drop, and we do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free or suitable for any particular presentation. Always have a backup way to control an important presentation, such as the host's own keyboard.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss arising from a failed, interrupted or mistimed presentation. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
Intellectual property
The app, its name, icon and design belong to us. These terms do not give you any rights to them beyond using the app. Your presentations and their content remain yours; the app never accesses them.
Google Play
If you downloaded the app from Google Play, Google Play's terms of service also apply. Google is not responsible for the app or for supporting it.
Privacy
How the app handles information is described in our privacy policy.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when we add features. The effective date above shows the latest version. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you also keep any protections given to you by the laws of the country where you live.
